Kids Safety Fair at Balise Toyota in Warwick, RI

Miller Gymnastics Team have been selected to perform a demonstration at the Kids Safety Fair held Saturday Jan 23rd (10-4) and Sunday Jan 24th (1-5) at the New Balise Toyota on Post Road in Warwick.  We are asking all the boys and girls team member to sign up and help us at this event.

WE ARE GOING TO WOODWARD SUMMER CAMP!

We invite all members to join us this summer for the most amazing gymnastics experience at Woodward Gymnastics Camp on June 28th - July 4th, 2009.  Coach Miller will be on the Master Staff and conducting clinics throughout the week.  All boys and girls at any ages and ability levels are invited.  Please check out Woodward's website or ask for a camp brochure at main desk.


PREP-OPTIONAL INTERMEDIATE PLACE 3RD AT STATES

Shawna Ostiguy wins first place in the all-around and leads the team to a 3rd place finish at the RI State Championships held at RI College Saturday, March 28th.  The team of 5 are Kelly Batzinger, Laura Heinzmann, Shawna Ostiguy, Elizabeth Sullivan, and Crystal Audet.
 
UNDERSTANDING TEAMWORK!
 

 Danielle Wragg, a freshmen at La Salle Academy, is a member of the Gymnastics Team which won the RI State High School Championship and the New England High School Championship.  Being one of the most improved on the team, she was awarded the "Coach's Award" at the State Gymnastics Banquet on Thursday, March 19th.

 Great News!!

On April 8th -12th in Daytona Beach, Florida; Bridgewater State College Cheerleaders placed second in the nation at the National Cheerleading Association's Collegiate National Championships.  The Bears broke every BSC Cheer record including highest finish and highest score.  The cheerleaders hit a solid routine scoring an 8.902, just 0.33 behind the first place team.  This score was also the second highest out of every New England college.  This year's record breaking finish finally put Bridgewater State College Cheerleading on the map!  The Bears will be on Fox Sports News on April 27th! Heather Miner, who will be joining our coaching staff at Miller Gymnastics come May/June 09', is a senior at Bridgewater State College where she is majoring in Physical Education.  Heather has been a NCAA Cheerleader for four years and the team captain for the last two. Boys Team Wins 2009 Holiday Invitational

Nicholas Gessner: won 7 Gold medals by winner 1st place on all six events and the all-around with a total score of 93.900. He performed a Perfect routine on parallel bars by scoring a 16.0 which is the New 10.0 in boys gymnastics.

Andrew Salisbury: Tied for Gold with Nicholas on Still Rings with a 15.400 and placed 2nd on Floor, Pommels, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal bar. He was awarded the Silver Medal in the all-around.

Brennon Huff:    Scored his personal best on all six events by winning Bronze on the Horizontal Bar and placing 4th in the all-around.

Amazingly, with 10 team competing from across New England, Miller Gymnastics won the Team Trophy by almost 10 points with a total score of 269.300.

The boys next competition is the Boston Classic on February 28th, 2009.  Go Boys!

Parkettes Gymnastics Holiday Clinic

Coach Miller will be heading to Allentown, PA - Dec 27th to help staff the nationally known training center - Parkettes.  In addition to his coaching assignments, he will be holding a bar clinic for visiting coaches.  If you would like more information on the clinic please call Miller Gymnastics Inc. or check out Parkettes web site:  www.parkettes.com
